These are great simple controllers for a 12-channel rig, or as an auxiliary desk for running effects outside of the main DMX ring, such as strobes or smoke machines that you want to keep manual control of.
We have one of them installed in a small drama space that has a 12ch generic rig, and we have another of the 6-channel versions that we use as a simple controller for strobes or smoke machines when they are used on their own but want remote control.
It's helpful for non-technical users as it just turns on and works. Can run off a 9V battery as well.

Great Bit Of Kit
Anonymous 03.05.2016
The Stairville DDC-12 DMX Controller was a useful purchase. I use this proudct for Disco's and connect LED Par Cans to it using the DMX out function to daisychain all the lights in my system together. This gives me complete control of the lighting saving time and energy meaning I can just walk into a venue and be ready to go. Its master fader is also very useful if for example the client is bringing in a birthday cake I can just reduce the light level contributing to the moment.

Simple

Cheap and plasticky, and with very few features. But that's the good part. Sometimes you need something simple with just the basics.
