In summary: A great delay pedal combined with just the right amount of versatility. I cannot find any cons for this pedal.
I wanted to have a delay pedal to spice things up with my Fender Twin. I have to say that this delay pedal is quite good as an entry-level delay pedal.
Pros:
- It just has the right amount of knobs. Time to control the duration between echoes; Mix to decide how much of the original signal you want to combine with the delay effect; Repeat to decide the number of echoes that you get; and a very useful switch that allows you to choose the delay response.
- It isn't noisy at all.
- Usually, if a delay pedal is not well-built, it removes some of the high frequencies (i.e., the circuit acts like a low pass filter whose cutoff frequency is around 1.2k - 4k, depending on the pedal). So you end up with echoes that have lots of low-end, as well as low-mids, but almost no high-end. This is why, in some delay pedals, you have an additional knob to adjust the tone. However, this is certainly not the case for this pedal. It replicated (almost) perfectly the signal.
Cons:
I really cannot find any for this price.
The casing is metal, so it will survive your heavy usage as well!
