I have two Varytec wind up stands, and until I found this item, I had difficulty attaching a half coupler rather than the supplied crosssbar arrangement. This gadget solves that problem, so I am delighted that I can now set up my system in a safe manner.

An sich schweres, vertrauenserweckendes Teil - wie lange die eingeschnittenen Gewinde halten wäre abzuwarten. Leider passen übliche TV-Zapfen nur halb rein. Hält zwar alles zusammen und zentrische Belastung traue ich dem Ding auch zu. Ist aber einerseits optisch echt ungünstig, dass da noch 3cm Zapfen offen sind. Und andererseits ist da mir persönlich doch unwohl was den Kraftschluss angeht...
Meine Empfehlung ist also, wo es nur geht direkt mit 36mm Flansch statt TV-Zapfen zu arbeiten. Ist einfach eine mögliche Fehlerquelle weniger.
