Cheaper - But still good.
PsykeShow 13.04.2019
Nova, as far as I've understood, is sold cheaper due to them not making the absolutely final cut when it comes to weight/balance and stuff up to Vic Firth's standards.

This was the 2nd pair of drumsticks I ever bought. Unfortunately at the time, I was looking for 5A and bought some bigger sticks than intended since I didn't know much about sizes. That being said, I don't regret buying them, because I did end up using them on various songs and I really loved them.

As far as being a Nova, you don't really feel the difference without years and years of experience. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't feel too much of a difference now, it's a great stick for starting out and it is really durable. Had mine for over a year now and they still are not worn out. That being said, those are not the sticks I mainly played with as I used 5A for the longest time, but they feel great, give a great sound and are durable for my playstyle.

• Better grip than the Vic Firths
• More affordable
• Quite durable**

**I had two pairs and kept each for about 2 months.
I play metal and punk.

Definitely worth buying a pair and giving it a shot!

ooo wat zijn ze goed!
Had ze in 5B besteld. Wat een ervaring als je 5A gewoon was, liggen prima in de hand. Blij ermee.

Nova's are quality
Anonymous 21.11.2015
I have been a user of Vic Firth for more than 20 years as a professional touring drummer. I play heavy rock and hit hard, and I have noticed that the quality of recent years Vic Firth have not really been the same the last 5-10 years or so.

By chance I bought some Nova's 5B, and to my surprise these were just as good, and after paying more for "real" VF's a couple of times, I wonder if they are not even better. At least I seem to break them less often.
