My go to strings for my acoustic
Sourceror 01.04.2014
First of all i am by no means an expert on strings .....as i have tried not many besides the EJ16's. Never had to.

But that said.......i have never had one broken on me while playing. Even though i bend strings regularly.

As it comes to tuning i am a real tuning freak, before playing i tune each string to the exact by using a digital tuner. And re-check regularly during practice.
Most of the time the strings stay in tune for 2 days straight, i guess this also depends on the guitar but still a lot has to do with the quality of the strings.

I have very acidic sweat....and after every couple of weeks these strings tend to loose its shine. After 4 weeks, the tone yet in tune becomes a little dull, and i have
to replace them with new ones.

After restringing the strings, it usually take an hour of playing for them to settle....and after a day of being on the guitar they keep consistently in tune with only minor fluctuations (halfway a half step max).

Buying them in these 10 packs...seems to be the cheapest deal. And i like the idea of having enough packs in reserve....to never run out of them.

Great value for the money
Greenwood Salamander 31.07.2021
I am not committed to one brand of string, I use Martins, Ernie Ball, DR strings and they are all sounding fine to me. The D'addario are just sounding as good as the aforementioned strings, but on plus side I like the packaging (set of 3, set of 10) which provides a real good value for the money.

P
Solid sound for gigging musicians
Paul914 04.07.2024
I play 3-4 nights per week for last 30 years, I've tried a few different brands over those years but I keep coming back to these. I HAVE NEVER, EVER, BROKEN ONE OF THESE DURING A GIG! And that's saying something.
The 12's are a well balanced set giving the right amount of top/mid/bottom tone for playing all styles without changing instruments, a must for a gigging musician. I get three nights of bright, clear sound and I can stretch to four nights if I'm not feeling overly pushed. After that they will start to loose their 'metalic springiness' but are quite playable if your not too fussy.
Well packaged and sealed, I buy 20 sets at a time and the last set is as fresh as the first.
All in all these are my go to strings for acoustic and previously electric gigging.
