P
It lasts and lasts on my Taylor
Paul926 21.06.2018
This set combines the basses of a light set with the top strings of a medium set. It is intended to beef up highs on Taylor short scale guitars (63 cm, by accentuating the note's fundamental frequency). And it works, by which I mean that the combination of strings and guitar just sounds very good. And on my Taylor 412CE 12-fret the strings seem to last forever. But even this string needs to be replaced one day, so don't overdo it. It will gradually lose sparkle, but it won't sound bad when old, as some other coated strings will do. The coating will fray, like any coated string, but this is negligable. I play fingerstyle, I did not really notice the theoretical extra string tension of the top strings. I did not try a normal set on my Taylor yet, because I saw no reason. BTW: I think these HD sets will not be available forever, as subtle things never attract big sales.

Great sound

Clear, rich sound all the way down. Think I've found my new go-to guitar strings, well worth the price.

If I can stop my kids from winding up the tuning pegs for fun and snapping them, I'll find out if they're long-lasting too.

BEST STRINGS FOR FINGERSTYLE!
Enzo Louis 29.04.2020
I play fingerstyle guitar and these strings are my go-to set. They sound absolutely amazing on my Seagull SWS! Everything just becomes a lot boomier and punchier with these strings!
