The guitar itself is amazing, with perfect craftsmanship. It looks and sounds incredible, with no manufacturing defects whatsoever. If you’re a Tool fan, it’s a 100% must-buy! Honestly, it sounds pretty Tool-like even without pedals or effects.

This is a review after about a year of owning this guitar. I still like it very much, and I’ve modded it a lot. I put new pickups, locking tuners, and thicker frets. It’s a very important guitar for me now, and I’d absolutely recommend it, even without any mods.

Diese Paula hat es auf Anhieb in meinen persönlichen Gitarren-Olymp geschafft. Ich habe allerdings ein paar Stündchen gebraucht, um mich an den etwas breiteren Hals zu gewöhnen. Ich besitze insgesamt drei ESP E-II (Eclipse & Horizon) und bin daher schnelle, schlanke Hälse gewohnt. Wenn ich mich für EINE Gitarre für die "einsame Insel" entscheiden müsste, wäre es diese Gibson. Anders als mein Rezensenten-Kollege finde ich durchaus, dass sie nicht nur clean zum Niederknien schön klingt, sondern auch im Metal-Bereich. Sie ist gewiss nicht DIE Axt, aber dennoch klingt sie fett und grummelt auch schön, wenn es gewünscht ist.

Übrigens, ich mag Adam Jones (Tool), würde mich aber nicht als Fan bezeichnen. Dieses Signature-Modell gehört - für mich - zu den bislang besten seiner Gattung. Ich bin wirklich happy, dass Gibson angefangen hat, sich bei der Fertigung wieder Mühe zu geben.
