Good value case
Neill8655 18.09.2015
It is always difficult to find a decent case for a semi acoustic bass so when I bought a Hagstrom Viking bass from Thomann, it made sense to order the fitted case as well. Like the bass, the case was the cheapest by far from Thomann and it arrived with the bass, three days after ordering. The case is well made with a thick, plush lining and a decent size storage box. It has 5 over centre fastenings (3 to the front and 2 to the back at the widest point. It is moderately heavy but protects the bass extremely well, which is all that matters. Excellent case overall.

Thought it would be better quality.

The case looks great and is fairly robust in design. Only thing that lets it down is the cheap locks/ clasps. Even with very minimum careful use one has already fallen to pieces and another is on the way. Expected a bit more from Hagstrom to be honest.

Nice feel 'in hand' and great looking case
Alexei Lupan 19.12.2022
It feels like a treasure from grandpa's warehouse — there should be something precious inside, maybe, a forgotten brand new Les Paul goldtop that was someday priced at $247.50 (plus $42 for a case) in 1957's price list. But no, it's a modern case and it fits a fine modern bass or a baritone guitar (it's all about a long neck, guys).

It's an old fashioned, stylysh, with five locks around case, sturdy and long. Inside it's like a soft kitty, with nice and smart soft bulges inside the bottom and lid that hold the guitar securely, preventing it from dangling.

Of course, I did immediately a try to put inside my HB bass, and of course, it didn't fit.

It deserve to stay for a while somewhere outside of your bedroom, because being brand new it have a notable chemistry smell. Two days on the balcony at fresh air give it a refresh, now I it's my friend.

Reasonably solid case
SimonNiggers 26.07.2021
The case feels reasonbly solid. The interior has a nice black plush covering. The only issue is esthetic: in pictures, the case may look like it's tweed covered, but its not. It just has a stamped pattern over vynil convering (or somthing similar).
I bougth this case for a hagstrom viking baritone, which barely fits. This doesn't seem to create any problem though.
