With this high-quality guitar equipped with a humbucker and two single coils (HSS), you will be prepared for any scenario. The ergonomically designed body made of mahogany-like nyatoh wood with a high-gloss "Shell Pink" finish is bolted to the roasted maple neck in a truly traditional way. The fretboard with a 305mm radius is also made of roasted flamed maple, ensuring a snappy sound. A tasteful exterior, high flexibility, and tried-and-tested branded hardware and electronics come together to create an affordable instrument that is suitable for a wide range of genres.
The Harley Benton Fusion-III HSS Roasted SP is a real eye-catcher. The body made of Nyatoh is painted all over with a matt "Shell Pink" finish. The roasted, bolt-on neck is made of Canadian flamed maple. This instrument is very comfortable to play thanks to its nut width of 42mm and a modern C-profile. The roasted maple fingerboard with its 22 wear-free jumbo stainless steel frets is also more than an off-the-rack product. In addition, a TUSQ nut, a two-point tremolo, and locking diecast machine heads are used here. The electronics consist of a humbucker and two single coils with AlNiCo-5 magnets, made by Roswell. These are complemented by a five-way switch as well as volume and tone potentiometers. The tone potentiometer also allows the humbucker to be split via a push-pull function.
The Harley Benton Fusion-III HSS Roasted SP is an inexpensive guitar that stands out above all for its multitude of impressive as well as practical features. The roasted flamed maple neck alone is a rare find in this price range. But that's not all: Locking machines heads ensure reliable tuning, while the stainless steel frets are characterised by minimal wear - so the instrument can last for many years. And it will never get boring, as the sound is extremely flexible and is at home in many genres thanks to the three pickups, the five-way selector switch, and the option to split the bridge humbucker. This guitar is recommended for beginners who want to start with a high-quality instrument in order to remain satisfied for a long time, for example. But those on a budget who want to own a particularly elegant and flexible instrument for a comparatively low price will also find what they are looking for.
Since 1998, the Harley Benton brand has been catering for the needs of numerous guitarists and bassists. In addition to an extensive range of stringed instruments, Thomann's house brand also offers a wide choice of amplifiers, speakers, effect pedals, and other accessories. In total, the range includes over 1,500 products. Built by established names in the industry, all Harley Benton products combine quality and reliability at attractive and affordable prices. The continuous expansion of the range ensures that Harley Benton always provides new, exciting, and innovative products that keep players perfectly in tune with the musical world, day after day.
With the Harley Benton Fusion-III HSS Roasted SP, you will be ready for whatever situation presents itself. The HSS pickup configuration delivers both typical single-coil sounds with the intermediate positions and full-throttle Rock tones from the bridge humbucker. The AlNiCo magnets also provide a vintage-style touch to the sound - from Blues to Hard Rock and from Pop to Funk, there's nothing the Fusion-III HSS Roasted SP can't manage. Depending on the song and song part, you can vary the timbre and the degree of distortion beautifully. The two-point tremolo system also contributes to the guitar's flexible sound-shaping abilities. On stage, changing your instrument for the sake of sound should therefore be unnecessary.
Roasting
Roasting is one of a range of heat treatment methods that can be applied to wood. This method, which is a relatively recent development, is used in order to give new and/or alternative woods the same tonal characteristics as older, matured tone woods (some of which are now protected by conservation laws and can thus no longer be sold). The wood is placed in a special computer-controlled oven and dried to a pre-determined degree – in other words, its natural drying phase is artificially shortened. This process also changes the wood’s visual appearance, darkening its colour and making the pattern of the grain more distinct.
