Case for Alto Saxophone

  • Suitable for both left- and right-handed users
  • Liteflite construction - highly impact resistant ABS plastic outer shell is directly bonded to a high-tech foam inner moulding
  • Absorbs impacts and offers very good thermal insulation
  • Very good structural rigidity
  • The aluminium trim extends beyond the plastic shell allowing all the hardware (handles, latches, hinges, etc.) to be riveted to the aluminium trim, thereby considerably reducing the possibility of the fittings becoming loose
  • Stronger outer shell for higher impact and puncture resistance
  • Steel D rings for fastening straps
  • Soft foam padding at the most important parts of the instrument for additional protection against impacts
  • Outer material: ABS
  • Inner padding: Crushed velour
  • Integrated accessory compartment

If you try it, you buy it.

Was in between BAM Cabin and Hiscox. Finally went with this Hiscox for my alto Selmer SA2.
Very sturdy case. Looks like it does what it says. The aluminum around the case prevents from deformation by hitting it. ABS Shell is not moving at all no matter how hard you press it down.
On the inside it has a very beautiful blue soft material and cushions placed exactly where they should be to keep the sax safe.
The accessory compartment is a bit small. It holds only the neck, mouthpiece and a couple of reeds. But it's a form case. Space is not the strong part of these cases.
The Latches are 3 and they don't open tha easy like they do with BAM for example. Looking more secure and even if one gets open it will not let the case open. You have to push it up and forward in order to open. I would like to have all 3 latches with locks but only the middle one has it. Shoulder strap is also very nice.
Even tried to shake the case with the instrument in it. Had to shake really hard until I felt something moving in it!!
Nice and safe. Would buy me one for my tenor as well.

After a couple weeks I sadly have to downgrade my stars.
Now that my SAII has settled in the case, it's bouncing up and down. Not all of the instrument. Only the Bow section.
I would strongly not recommend this to Selmer owners.
I am also going to sell this one and get me a BAM.

Hiscox Alto Case
Liam H. 07.08.2018
Having already owned one of these for tenor,I knew the quality of Hiscox cases. These cases are bulletproof, your Sax will be very well protected in a Hiscox.
A big plus for me is that These cases will work for both left and right sided bell keys,my Conn 6m and my Yas62 both fit snugly and securely in the case.
The only slight disadvantage is storage space, you can fit your neck, mouthpiece and strap in the case, but not much more, but not a deal breaker for me.
Sturdy strong catches and a strong carry strap also a big plus.
