Perfect for my electric fiddle
Nicholas445 02.11.2013
I bought this preamp for playing electric fiddle live and have so far used it for my Bridge electric violin (piezo) and my acoustic violin with instrument microphone setup. I have also been able to use this for my taylor acoustic guitar.

Very good solid quality preamp / DI pedal that makes gigging at different setups really easy. All controls at your feet, which is to me essential particularly as piezo violin can often sound very tinny through many standard PA's. I have also been able to feed this into my Marshall AD100 acoustic amp with excellent results.
The tuner is really good and easy to use / see. The boost button is great for solos and/or a bit more oomph when playing with electric bands.

I have previously owned a fishman preamp for many years but this to me is a great advance.

I never play without it now and would thoroughly recommend both for guitar and other string instruments.

We wanted to get to grips with it.... But it's great!
feckinmighty 20.04.2015
I've had this DI for a while, but only really started using it in the last six months. I'm not great when it comes to dealing with lots of buttons and knobs and options, I'm more plug-and-play guy. I originally bought this product because of the built in tuner and boost. So when I initially open the box to use the product I was put off by the range of options. I used it once or twice in a Live sitting on wasn't instantly blown away by it and left it at home for a while. For the next few months I only use it on and off, but after little more investigation how to use it properly I found the tunable mid options very useful. The frequency sweep is also very useful, as it is the boost.

Overall I am very happy with this product I've been using it live at every acoustic gig for the past six months. It's my go to DI of choice. I highly recommend it.

Professionals' choice for everybody

Recommended by many pro guitar players in the acoustic field, you can't go wrong with this gear. Great tone improvement compared to plugging an electro acoustic guitar directly to PA, as I used to do with my guitar ( Martin D28 with B-band transducer). Works also as a preamp with a passive pickup (like K&K). Wide tone adjustment possibilities as needed in different acoustic locations. Accurate and easy to read tuner ( also in poor lighting). Volume boost, notch filter and lots of other useful features that not only come handy BUT are often a must in live circumstances. I have skipped my acoustic amp ( although a superior AER) almost completely and travel now light with Venue when there is a PA available.

LR baggs venue Di review
Peter Å. 17.07.2013
I´ve used this product for the last 2 years now. I´m very happy with it. Since I have no controls on my guitar, only a piezo pickup the venue DI is really the perfect solution for me. Great control over my sound and one of my favourite features is the boost function. Great for getting that extra bit of volume when it´s time to take a solo. Only minor bad thing for me has been that the tuner stopped working but think that was just bad luck. I use a clip on tuner on the guitar and that took care of that problem. I highly recommend this product.
