Does Job, One Caveat
motty 01.02.2018
Great device, powers my pedals, doesn't catch fire etc.

One caveat - I'd hoped it would come with a UK power adaptor. It did not. It came with an EU power adaptor, which is alarmingly wobbly when plugged into an EU->UK power adaptor-adaptor device. Being as the power adaptor needs to be 18V / 2A / center-positive, it is almost completely impossible to fix this problem with a proper UK adaptor. I have contacted both MXR and Thomann on this subject to no avail. If you can find such a device with a UK plug, please let me know, because I can't. The only solution I can think of is to leave the UK and move elsewhere in Europe.

Not that this is a bad solution as such and indeed - especially post-Brexit - it has a great deal going for it in many ways, but even if I do emigrate I'll still want to tour the UK from time to time, in which case the dreaded wobble will be back.

Hence four not five stars.

MS
Good, but overpriced PSU
Matthew Szyłak 08.01.2019
This brick does its job perfectly. The isolated outputs do a hell of a job, no hum whatsoever. The 18v output is there, but I never really had the opportunity to use it. The quality of the build is really good as well (would expect that from brands like mxr) and the PSU is very small which helps out with space management on the pedal board. The only thing about it is the price. 118 is quite a lot, especially that you can get other PSU's of the same quality for a lower price. Overall a good PSU.

Compact and powerful!
Kyuuga 06.11.2019
I was on the market for a power supplier for my pedalboard but I wanted something small that could still pack a punch.

I currently use my pedalboard with 7 pedals and the MXR Brick powers them up perfectly! Haven't noticed any issues with it.

It's so small that it fits on any corner of your pedalboard (or below it) so you don't need to worry about not having space for your multitude of pedals.

It's a little bit pricey but quality is always a tad expensive.

All in all a great purchase, recommended!

A
Good power supply
Alexi89 28.04.2014
I really like this power supply. It can fit up to 10 pedals, but more importantly, you have the option of powering two pedals with 18V - very useful for those with Fulltone pedals like the OCD that can be powered with both 9v and 18v.

I rated it with 4 stars, not 5, because it is not completely silent, however, for a power supply that isn't isolated, the sound is very good quality in my opinion i.e. not much noticeable hum, and I've gigged with this at loud volumes.

It fits nicely onto a pedal board.

The only drawback is that it came with the European plug and not the three-pinned plug used in the UK so I need an adaptor. Luckily I had one so this is no big deal for me, just an extra thing for me to remember every time I go to jam with my band or play live.

I recommend this, it has made life very easy and I am very happy with how quiet it is.
