I was looking for more sustain and a beefier sound than the Fender Fat 50s on my Standard Stratocaster. Although the Fat 50s sounded awesome they lacked the edge for higher gain tones. The Hot Rail sounds very good indeed and my Start has a thicker tone. I am a big Iron Maiden fan so these were a perfect choice to get that sound. Highly recommended.

Warm,articulate,sensitive to pick changes, works especially well with Alder and Swamp Ash bodies and Ebovy fingerboards.I've used it in many intruments and this is my go-to pickup for neck.

Ich habe diese Hotrails im Hals meiner vor 35 selbstgebauten Stratstylegitarre eingebaut. In der Bridgeposition habe ich einen Sh-4 Humbucker und im Hals eben diesen Hot Rail der dazu noch einen Fernández Sustainer neben sich hat. Der Pickup klingt in jeglicher Hinsicht super. Die Kombi mit dem Bridgehumbucker ist fast schon klassisch Les Paul(Meine Strat ist komplett aus Mahagoni und hat einen Mapleneck mit Ebenholzgriffbrett). Ich habe 300 kohm Potis in meiner Gitarre von Bourne und bin stilistisch eher in der King Crimson/Robert Fripp Ecke mit dieser Gitarre angesiedelt,sowohl, clean als auch crunch sehr sehr musikalisch. Auch komplexe Vierklänge mit #11,b9,add2 etc... werden klar und präzise wiedergegeben. Der PU hat zwar ein "heisses" Image, u.a. ist auch das Dave Murray Set mit zwei dieser PU`s aber er ist ein fantastischer Humbucker,stilistisch vielsaitig. Von mir(professioneller Studiogitarrist)100% zu empfehlen.
