Very solid and durable but with a very heavy feeling

This pedal is very good if you need something that will stay forever but it was a bit heavy for my taste so I sold it. The adjustable cam feature is very nice

# Tama Iron Cobra HP600DTW Double Bass Drum Pedal: A Drummer's Dream

As a seasoned drummer always on the lookout for gear that can keep up with intense playing, I was thrilled to get my hands on the Tama Iron Cobra HP600DTW Double Bass Drum Pedal. After putting it through its paces, I can confidently say this pedal lives up to the Iron Cobra legacy and then some.

## Build Quality and Design

Right out of the box, the HP600DTW's build quality is apparent. The pedal boasts a robust construction with a sleek black finish that screams professional-grade equipment. Tama's attention to detail is evident in every component, from the smooth bearings to the precisely machined footboard.

## Performance

The Iron Cobra HP600DTW truly shines when it comes to performance. The dual-chain drive system provides a responsive and smooth action that feels natural under your feet. Whether you're playing lightning-fast double bass runs or grooving with a steady beat, this pedal delivers consistent power and precision.

One standout feature is the Cobra Coil spring, which offers a quick return to the ready position without sacrificing feel. This results in less fatigue during extended playing sessions and improved speed for those rapid-fire passages.

## Adjustability

Tama has equipped the HP600DTW with a range of adjustment options to suit various playing styles. The beater angle, footboard angle, and spring tension are all easily customizable. I particularly appreciated the ability to fine-tune the pedal's response to my exact preferences.

## Stability

Even during the most intense performances, the HP600DTW remains firmly in place. The robust hoop clamp and anti-skid rubber pad on the base plate ensure the pedal stays put, allowing you to focus on your playing without worrying about equipment stability.

## Value

While not the cheapest option on the market, the Tama Iron Cobra HP600DTW offers excellent value for serious drummers. Its durability, performance, and versatility justify the investment for those looking to elevate their bass drum technique.

## Conclusion

The Tama Iron Cobra HP600DTW Double Bass Drum Pedal is a top-tier choice for drummers across various genres. Its combination of smooth action, customizable settings, and rock-solid construction make it a worthy addition to any kit. Whether you're a metal head craving speed and power or a jazz fusionist seeking nuanced control, this pedal delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended for drummers looking to take their foot technique to the next level.

The greatest

You can never go wrong with a pair of Cobras. I've tried different brands, but I feel like those are the right pedals for me. You can feel them well, they respond to your foot movements well, you can play any genre and have as much control as you need during your playing.
They are a classic for a reason! Don't hesitate and just get them.
