Easy to use on stage but lacks some essential stuff.
Anonymous 31.05.2016
The tone button contains a one-knob "all-or-nothing" equalizer, compressor/gate and de-esser. The equalizer throws away all of the warmth for male voices (and I guess the same is true for altos). I contacted TC Helicon and they responded: "It's an all or nothing. Sorry you don't like it."

next to that, the phantom power button sometimes refuses to switch but the rest of the functionality is pretty nice.

Altogether, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If TC Helicon would have responded earlier to my question, I would have returned it.

Overall Great Product
Anonymous 08.08.2016
I am very satisfied with the sound and features of the TC-Helicon Perform-V.

There is one feature I am missing, though. There is no option to dim the light of the device. This inconveniences me because the device is mounted on the microphone stand and the light hits my face in a creepy way.

If you dim the lights on stage the TC-Helicon Perform-V will still light your face from below and you will get the "horror story face" (the same face you have when holding a flashlight under your chin).

I am considering switching to another processor as I don't like the way I look on stage whit that type of light

Other than this I am very satisfied with the device. Has great features and the option to transfer preset sounds to the device is very handy.

I would recommend this device to anyone who has gigs in bright, well light setup.

Good value

I bought this with the intention of using headphones and rehearse playing guitar and hearing my voice spiced up with some processing. Its perfect for that. I expect it would be good for a small gig as well. Not exactly high end studio quality, but much better than expected at this price point.

Effective and simple!

Only received the Perform V less than a week ago and only used it on a rehearsal but it's a very useful vocal effect.
It is very easy to operate and although as a bassplayer and backingvocalist I have no need to change settings on the fly the possibility to do so can be very useful for a leadsinger. Doubling, reverb and echo can be added to your voice as required and sound very natural.
I found the "tone" button very useful to make my voice brighter and clearer in the mix.
Maybe the lights could be a bit less bright but that's all!
