Great quality rack case that stacks with gator cases
Millo777 18.06.2020
I bought the Thomann branded rack case because it was cheaper than the gator or SKG versions. When It arrived I was surprised that it just as good quality, and also stacks with my other gator cases with no problem.
I wouldn't use this to tour or ship expensive gear all over the world, but for keeping my rack gear pre wired, ready and dust free its ideal.
other things of note. The rack mount screw holes are properly aligned! I've got other brands of rack case where the threaded strip is separate from the case and misaligned, so the lower units in the rack are a pain in the ass to fix in place. You end up holding the gear in place with 2 screws instead of 4. On both of my Thomann cases, the threaded strips were fixed in placed and perfectly aligned. Good stuff.
It doesn't have locks, but then the locks on other cases are worthless so that no loss.
If only Thomann would start selling their own version of shock mount cases!

Nice Rack case

It is a very nice rack case. It is sturdy and complete.
The handles to pick it up are ok. could have been a bit deeper for my big hands.

Not a bad
w9ahmed 14.01.2022
Not sure if its the best in the market, but for the price its good. I don't tour, so I don't need something strong, also I never tried any other rack case to compare with.
To my knowledge, I would recommend it to home musicians; if I try any other brands I will edit my review. :)

A
light weight 10U case for not much money
Andrew551 20.09.2015
Pro:
+ low cost
+ light weight
+ strong (enough)
+ comes with a bag of screws and plastic washers
+ front and back lids close securely
+ full rack both front and back - this is very useful for adding power distribution or patch bays on the back, especially as the unit is quite deep.
Con:
- Rack screws fasten into a plate with threaded M5 holes. This plate goes the full height and doesn't always line up with the equipment very well. It has not got the play a captive nut would have to take up any miss alignment. Additionally if you struggle long and hard enough to get your equipment mounted you can end up stripping a thread which is then irreplaceable. (But could be tapped out to M6)
Other remarks:
The M5 screws part 294919 are slot headed. The case comes with cross headed screws.
There are no air holes. This is good in terms of carrying them outside through the rain but a drawback in terms of cooling. Put in a few plates with air vents like 214126 or 120517
Overall a good buy
