Superb Waldorf synth.

I have several Waldorf synths, and thought I would try this plugin to use with Logic.
I had delays in implementing - but only due to my limited knowledge of both Mac and Logic (used Ableton, alone before this year) it took me a while to get running. Excellent.

Klingt wie meine Hardware-MW1, das hat mich sehr überrascht. Hätte nie gedacht, dass sich die analogen Filter so gut modellieren lassen.

Bisher ist ein Übertragen der Patches von der Hardware zum VST leider nicht vorgesehen (geht nur in die andere Richtung) und auch das Laden von Patches im das VST ist eher ein Glücksspiel. Ich kann also meine Patchsammlung leider nicht im VST ausprobieren, nur die Werkssounds vergleichen. Es kommen aber Updates, die das hoffentlich verbessern.

Mehr als zwei Jahrzehnte nach der Emulation des PPG Wave also endlich der Microwave. Die Verbesserungen gegenüber dem Wave 3.V, der leider schon ca. 10 Jahre nicht mehr entwickelt wurde, entsprechen in Sachen Sound, GUI und Bedienung weitgehend dem, was man heutzutage erwarten kann. Nicht alle Funktionen sind auf einer Seite, es muss geblättert werden, und das ist schade gemessen an gewissen Editoren für den Hardware-MW; aber im Vergleich zur reinen Panel-Bedienung der Hardware ist es natürlich eine riesige Verbesserung.
Die Visualisierung der Wavetables ist nett, aber aus meiner Sicht ohne praktischen Nutzen.
Interessant wäre eine Weiterentwicklung dieses Plugins mit optionalen Zusatz-Features wie Waveshaping oder dritten Oszillator unter Beibehaltung des speziellen MW-Klangs, aber ich schätze mal, es wird so bleiben, wie es ist, und das ist schon unverhofft gut.
