This is a great synth, with a Warm and versatile sound.
Great Constrution , Intuitive to use (for such possibilities) and "fun." Pretty much "Hands-on" with lots of knobs, and a little Menu Diving (it has 3 screns...one for the sample selection other for effects and other for more Global and General options)
This is a Synth that works with a "Synth-like" workflow, but with Samples and Synth OSCs (and can combine, blend them), not a Workstation,
The included Sample Library from 8dio, is very large, covers many things from Pianos, Synth forms, Acoustic and electric Instruments, Choirs, Strings, Percussions , and you can import and map your own samples with an Utlility in your PC or Mac.
It has 2 OSC "Intruments" that use Samples, and 2 OSC "Synths" that uses more tradicional Waveshapes. The sound can be true Stereo or depending on the voice mode (8 , 16 or 32 Voces). You can use 2 layers per patch, that can be stacked or Spllt.
The Modulations possiblities are prettyy deep and extensive ! You can get the sort of more "Bread & Butter" sounds that are expected from a Synth, "Rompler" kinda sounds or you can get pretty crazy and experimental and combine, mix them in a easy way , but be ready to waste a lot of hours , because there are indeed lots of posibilities and very different kinds of Sounds you can achieve from straight Piano sounds to Synth pacthes.
The analog Filter has a round , pleasing and warm charater that takes it away from the more "cold" charateristic sound that you get with some Digital Rompler Workstations.
Yes... it is not cheap...but if you want a Synth that goes beyond the usual Subraticte Synth capabilities and sound possibilites and can also use use Samples with workflow similiar to a proper Synth (and not a Workstation with lots of menu diving) with a very Hands on Sound Design and possibilities , i would seriously consider this.
Listen to the Demos...and if it pleases you, this can be a very great option .
