Fender Pre-Wired ST Pickguard 69 BK

After years of modifications and tinkering I thought it time to get the old Stratocastor back to how it was when Mom cosigned my credit form in 1974. I installed the prewired pickguard and now the guitar looks and sounds great...almost as it was when bought.

Pros: Easy replacement with respectable kit. Awesome.

Cons:
- I expected a 3 position switch like the original but got a 5 position switch instead. I'll happily live with this even though I still have the corroded 3 position original (along with one original pickup and the 1974 tone pots and capacitor).
- The mounting screw holes' countersink is not as wide, so the original screw heads stick out a little bit. I will have to widen the countersink later for a better screw fit
-The protective plastic sheeting could not be pulled off cleanly. I had to remove the knobs and trim around the pot mounting hardware to get it all off.

A great buy if you want to return your old overly-modified Strat back to something nostalgic.
