Jensen is the classic amp speaker for Fender and several other classic American amps makers. This speaker is durable, sounds vintage, looks great (super cool replacement in a classic amp) and lives up to is name. Jensen built it's name on quality, and you can count on this speaker. Reminder, it is important to mount the correct speaker for your amp. If you are making an extension cabinet, don't settle on cheap wood. It will effect the sound of the speaker, Make sure to buy a quality built cabinet for a speaker of this caliber. I can highly recommend this speaker to someone looking for a classic vintage sound.

King of vintage sound

I was looking for a speaker to give a retro colour to my traynor darkhorse head and 1x12 cab. This 15 watts 6V6 12AX7 and 12AU7 head, became stellar when powering the Jensen P12R. With my epi wildkat it has the Link Wray dry roar or the Scotty Moore smoothness with the EHX canyon on tape slapback setting. With EHX holy grail verb on a strat, I can get a clean James Calvin Wilsey 80's King if slow Tone. Boost the levels and find yourself in Kinks raw overdrive territory. A maestro fuzz and you cover garage and late 60's psychedelia. The speaker has loads of personality. Play it, enjoy it and know it. You will find pleasure and your own voice with the Jensen P12R. An excellent speaker with a legendary soul.
